Hogs Of War is back– as a Tabletop Miniatures Game for 1 – 4 Players!
Command your favourite Faction from the original PS1 title… Recruiting Hogs, Tanks, Biplanes and Airships in your bid to conquer Saustralasia!
The Campaign Book contains 5 core “Missions” with varying Primary Objectives. From “King Of The Swill”; where you must hold a central Objective against all odds… To “Catch the Pigeon”; a desperate race against your opponents to secure a moving Pigeon-borne Objective!
For out-of-the-box play, simply choose the Mission, setup the Battlefield as indicated by the pre-set Map and away you go! Sandboxing a game of Hogs Of War couldn’t be easier! With thousands of combinations of Terrain available in the Core Pledge, you can make Battlefields feel unique every time you play.
Play Solo or team up with your friends in “Horde” mode– where you must defend your Hog Base against an endless horde of Hog enemies until relief arrives! A unique Solo AI deck makes the enemy intelligent to your every move- so make your shots count!
Hogs Of War contains 80 highly detailed plastic miniatures – designed with close attention to the original PS1 title and feedback from the original creator!
Running with a prequel-esque WW1 theme, the Hog Tank and Biplane are fantastically “hogified” versions of the Mark IV tank and the Sopwith Camel, whilst the Hog Infantry’s kit is abstracted from early war British and German soldiers.
The “Over The Top” Deluxe Pledge contains all of the following:
- A beautifully detailed Neoprene Mat provides a playing surface that will guard against any spills and marks, and resist wear and tear for longer!
- The Metal “Medal” Coin is handmade by an expert Silversmith and can be used as a beautiful “Player Token” in the game. Modelled after the PS1 title’s Medal, this piece will be limited to only the Deluxe edition so don’t miss out!
- Deployable Miniatures help bring the Battlefield to life with immersive, scaled-down fortifications for your Hogs to construct, defend and exploit.
- The Pigeon Miniature replaces the Core Pledge’s Pigeon token with a cute miniature that can also be used in other Mission Modes, using the Deluxe Unit Card.
Hogs Of War The Miniatures Game contains several unique and streamlined mechanics that combine to make each game feel unique.
Base Building – Each game of Hogs gives you the opportunity to construct a Base that organically introduces your Swill Income, Unit Cap, Unit Production and Tech Tree in a quick and easy-to-learn way.
Construct Refineries, Tank Factories, Airship Hangars and more using beautiful “Tetris-esque” Building Tiles in the orientation and position you choose. There are thousands of combinations available – making every game of Hogs feel unique!
The Battlefield- Terrain Tiles are setup on the Battlefield, either according to the Mission or the Players in Sandbox mode. These Terrain Tiles shape the nature of the Battlefield by making areas impassable to some Unit Types, providing Defensive Cover or by improving/reducing Movement Speeds!
Through various combinations of Rivers, Roads, Forests and Mountain Tiles, every Battlefield can feel unique- with its own strategies, flavour and sweet spots!
Aerial Vehicles and Hidden Movement – Aerial Vehicles have a fantastic mechanic in Hogs that makes them unlike the other Units available to a Hog General.
Using their Console, move Flight Speed and Direction Indicators to change the Vehicle’s Movement and Turn Order. A Flight Screen hides these choices from the other Players- bluff and bamboozle your enemy!
Drop Bombs, strafe the enemy and Hogfight with Enemy Pilots in your war for the skies. Reckless flying might just save your bacon!
Airships are custom built each game using any combination of Airship parts the Player chooses. Make your Airship gigantic- or send up a small dirigible laden with Bombs- the choice is yours!
Attack Dice – Custom Dice with asymmetrical outcomes makes attacking the Enemy a fun but deeply tactical experience. Cleverly matching up your Units with the right Enemy target Unit is the key to victory!
With 100 Upgrade Cards and 8 Units to upgrade, there are hundreds of possible combinations available to each player.
Equip your Snipers with Jetpacks, Engineers with Super TNT, Tanks with supercharged engines or Biplanes with 360 degree machine guns…
Strategies can be refined and developed over a Campaign until you straddle the Battlefield like a mighty colossus!
The Campaign Book leads players through the land of Saustralasia in a conflict where only one faction can emerge triumphant. Alternatively, defend the Isle Of Swill in a Solo/ Co-operative “Horde” mode Mission against a fiendish AI enemy!
